Exchange Traded Fund is a single security that tracks an index, bond, commodity or a basket of various assets. ETFs are traded on the stock market in the same way as regular shares. They also participate in the profits through dividends. They are becoming a very popular option due to their increasing liquidity and lower fees in comparison to investment trusts and mutual funds. ETFs offer a cheaper and efficient pathway into a basket of securities through a single investment; allowing for diversification across sectors and regions which may be difficult to access through individual securities. At Berkeley Private Wealth, our clients have access to prominent investment managers who offer over 3000 ETFs.
